LAVENDER & The Good TimesLennart aka Lavender & The Good Times is a young artist, DJ & illustrator from the Netherlands, currently based in Berlin. After studying graphic design he learnt and played with all kinds of tools at the HKU University of Arts Utrecht.
Going through his works, you will maybe be able to sense a general focus on contrast and balance: stepping out of an editorial background, he tries to find a challenge in expressing a certain concept, from a gushing wind to his state of mind , working within the constraints of the human body.

He enjoys to work towards a somewhat abstract image, hiding the body within its own forms and its interaction with other shapes.
He does this by being aware of aspects such as gender, bodily posture, and playing with physical “imperfections”.

With a great passion for music, he always works with inspiring melodies and rhythms playing in the background. That’s how he started focusing on translating a current idea or feeling into playlists and DJ sets, to which he could then visually express that same concept.

It is with great sensitivity that Lennart created his alter ego Lavender & the Good Times, a musical story-teller counting the same artistic adventures than Lennart's hands drew, but on a different, auditive medium. Be prepared to travel through all types of sound landscapes!
