Murillo, aka mandruvá is one of the two minds (with AVGVSTVS) behind the multicultural electronic music project Pérola Branca. Educator and biologist, he is directly involved with social and environmental causes in Brazil, and found out that art, music & culture were weapons to fight these socio-ecological issues.
He has always been captivated by music, growing and developing his projects under the influence of many styles & cultures of music. In 2004 he started learning and practicing instruments, and five years later, in 2009, he discovers the world of electronic music, its beats and its diversity, being since then a rhythm, synthesizers and melodies addict.
His production style can be described as a mixture of dark synth wave atmospheres and sound design, with latin percussions patterns and Brazilian instruments, exploring slow tempo through a fuzzy and acid-infused approach melt into organic sounds. The perfect music to recall the influence of mankind over nature!
He lately released for free beautiful edits on Tepeme Musica (MX), Cosmovision Records (CA), Shango Records (GR), and an original collaboration with Prado on Zolotaya Orda (RU).
He soon decided to venture into mixing, which narrowed the relationship with the electronic scene and opened doors for authorial productions, which he started to compose late 2017. He offers to the public his universal luggage, no boundary music that goes from 60 to 200bpm.
