MAUGLI

Born in Italy, grown up in south Germany, and based in Berlin since 2014, MAUGLI is a multicultural electronic music artist, who melts down vibrant sounds and driving rhythms from all over the globe.

With a background as a drummer, bassist and in production of various styles (instrumental hip hop, rap, electronic), his genre-bending music merges sampling and recording into a lively collage, with an electronic yet organic feel to it. Same is carried out in his DJ sets, where colorful pulsing influences bring people together and keep them moving while travelling the (musical) world.

So far, the Italo-German artist has released really special edits with a debut EP on German imprint YnfnD (M.RUX, JAJA, Kusht...), which was acclaimed by both DJs and the audience from around the world! A first album is also on the run and will be out by the end of 2019... You can catch him in Germany (Nation of Gondwana and Meeresrausch, regularly at KaterBlau, Mensch Meier and Klunkerkranich) and UK, and this summer in Greece and California (US) at Priceless Festival.

​"Hip hop, world music, ritualistic, indigenous music... I try to find a balance between the swing and funk of hip hop and rap productions, blended with the heavyness and mixing of electronic music and acoustic instruments for a natural, organic sound"
