BERNSBerns then lived for 10 years in Auckland (NZ), where he finished his graphic design studies and explored many new techniques and styles. He settled in France a few years ago, joining the art collective AOS (Army Of Snipers) and the ODV crew. Nurtured by Peruvian and New Zealand cultural roots, Berns developed a colorful figurative aesthetic, populated by mystical animals and incredibly detailed characters. His painting has enriched in recent years by elements more and more symbolic, often reflecting his personal feelings of the moment.

Berns is an urban artist imbued with various cultures, a valuable heritage he cultivates and infuses into his colorful and powerful art. Born in Peru, Berns started doing graffiti around the mid 90’s in Lima’s streets. He has been playing a significant role in the Peruvian graffiti scene, selecting a group of his friends and creating with them the DMJC crew in 1999 - today one of the oldest and most active graffiti crews from Peru.
On his work-letters, to which he remains very attached, Berns shows a form of dualism, in the subjects he takes up, the compositions he creates or the colors he uses; a way for him to remember that nothing is ever uniform... Murals, events or galleries, his art work has been already seen in many countries (Peru, New Zealand, France, Australia, Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, England, Mexico...).
