Fanfara  Electronica

For its 9th EthnoKast, Ethno Kult has the great pleasure to present to its community the French duet of electronic world music Fanfara Electronica (Thom & Steven from Rennes). This atypical band has been playing and travelling all over the globe with like-minded artists such as Dub Fx, Soul Square, Pasaje Universo, Dj Netik, and many others in more than 200 concerts in a dozen different countries in the last 5 years. With three EPs online, two in the making, uncountable remixes and dozen of side-projects (like the actual Neuquén Groove Project), the duo is unstoppable!

Their last live consist of a subtle mix of traditional instruments (bouzouki, didgeridoo, percussion, tablas, etc) and electronic rhythms. They are often accompanied by a scenography worthy of a shamanic dream. They like to play seated, in accordance with ancient customs, to create a new symbiosis with the public, the earth, while honoring the instruments.

Being fanatics of several hours long unprepared mixes, it has been quite a challenge to concentrate in just 30mn their vision of music. They just followed the mood of the moment using forgotten & new songs, to digest or discover new things.
Tons of releases planned by the end of the year, don't miss them! Being co-founders with a bunch of friends (incl. Rafael Aragon) of Brussels-based label Global Hybrid Records, they also organize ethno-techno parties and curate the next  talents of tomorrow's ethnic-electronic music.

They called this EthnoKast "El Dia del Arbol" for a simple reason: made a June 19th, it is the Day of the Tree in Paraguay.
