Shimon

Shimon is a young French producer who creates special blend of Ethnic & Minimal downtempo beats inspired by ancestral and traditional sounds with a touch of minimal. Simon de Kinkelin, originally from Paris, is  producing and playing since June 2017.

His first release came out with Casa Caos, a piece from his live project with Oum.k, a sitar player. A second track was soon released with Echoes From Venus. By 2018, three Ep’s were forecasted, in collaboration with MoM, Holed Coin, Luka and Birãlõ. Shimon is currently working on various projects: a solo one, anchored in the downbeat, organic, percussive and minimal beats, a second project with Birãlõ, a 3-people live with releases planned for this year. He is still working with Oum.k, for more instrumental music with sitar & tabla.

He has been invited to rising ethnic electronic music events, such as The Gardens of Babylon, in Amsterdam, Horde, in Paris and Maxa Camp in Tulum. After a small tour in Tulum he is now back in Europe, many gigs  planned for the coming months in Germany, Switzerland, Netherlands and France.
