As many gestures as sensations. These images appear by associations of ideas, telling a story between the one already inscribed in the fabric and the one inspired from books, walks or excesses from the media sphere.
Nine has been studying at the Ecole Supérieure des Arts et Medias in Caen (FR). Currently in its 4th year, staying in Hamburg (DE), she works mainly on drawings, video, serigraphy and engraving. She worked with the events organizer Chill & Beer, creating visuals, aftermovies and video teasers. She was also given the responsibility of some video broadcast at the Rock in the Barn #8 Festival. |
Like a decor. Mental images. A dream, images already seen, images in my head, in the head, in your head. Fragments fortuitously composing an image. Spontaneous images in the layout like, a ritual walk retracing a path, a story.
With a gesture well-assumed and spontaneous, Nine Hauchard creates images on pieces of cloth more or less already decorated with motifs. At first the background appears. A flat white or bright color builds a shape of horizon. Then narrative elements come one by one to add, superimpose the patterns already printed on the support. Rhythms appear, towards the calm and the breathing of the horizon.
